Located in the heart of Oriental Parade on a historic tugboat, Parade Cafe's atmosphere is fun & relaxed. The clientele range from suits & families to hungry swimmers still wet from the beach or Freyberg pool. Everybody feels welcome here.

The boat has had a massive makeover. There is soft booth seating in the main area, an outdoor seating area bordering the gangplank entrance and a super sunny deck with seating facing the city. The indoor/outdoor flow is a focus at our seaside cafe, with people enjoying the sun in the summer & the warmth of the fires inside, in the winter.

 The Engine room has had a major renovation and is now The Red Engine Room, much like a jazz lounge feel, this unique space is now a function room. We are now opening this space for PUBLIC events. MUSIC, COMEDY & MORE!! CLICK HERE TO SEE 'WHAT'S ON'. The upper deck is now a private function centre, catering for sit down meals and conferences, all completely surrounded by ocean.

We still pride ourselves on our big delicious breakfasts & brunches. We are famous for our scrumptious Chocolate cake, not to mention other mouth watering cakes, muffins & slices on offer!! And  great coffee is a staple :)

The Parade's atmosphere mellows at night, and the theme changes from cafe style food to a table service restaurant with an incredible new menu and an extensive wine list on offer.

So while a lot has changed, as far as our location, much of the friendly staff are still the same & our food still has an great kiwiana feel about it.

If there was ever a place in the capital you must experience, this would be one of them.

Also we are opening back up on Monday nights for dinner starting 12th Septmeber so do come along!!!
